Todd Broockerd - Director of Roasting

Todd started with Kitten in 2008 and rapidly worked his way into the roastery where he works a very special magic. Over the past four years, Todd has developed a small number of excruciatingly detailed roast profiles that take our single origon micro-lot Brazils and turn them into what we consider to be the most delicious espresso and filter coffees available on the East Coast and beyond.

"Gas, time, air and a lot of love" says Mr Broockerd "are all you need to bring out the very best from the very best". We know his magic works.

Meet Bryan

Bryan joined the Kitten team only a few months ago but is already rattling Mr Broockerds cage with his tendency to "color outside the lines" of Todd's precious profiles. Problem is, his coffees taste spectacular.

"Just burning beans" the laconic North Carolinian says as he wanders back to our roaster to work his own special magic.
